If you fancy a journey into the deep blue ocean, a trip to The Deep, Hull’s fantastic marine centre and the only Submarium in the world, is a must. It’s fun, educational and awe-inspiring with over 3,500 marine species, including Sawfish, Sharks, Rays, Turtles and a colony of Gentoo Penguins!
For those wanting to experience a little local history and culture, why not take a visit to the Hull Maritime Museum, which offers a fascinating insight into the local maritime history and fantastic kids activities and free admission. For art lovers, the Ferens Art Gallery Hull also has free admission and is home to some fantastic painting and sculpture collections. Other highlights include The Street Life Museum and Wilberforce House, so be sure not to miss them.
Sports and Leisure
If you’re a huge sports fan, you will be well catered for by way of the KC Stadium, home of Hull City Football Club and Hull F.C Rugby League team, which is within walking distance of the hotel. Whilst the second Hull rugby team, Hull KR play across the city at Craven Park. For Ice Hockey fans, you can head to the Hull Ice Arena, which is home to Hull Stingrays Ice Hockey team. Watch a game or simply take in a little skating whilst you’re there.
Another exciting place to visit is the Beverley Racecourse, which features an exciting calendar of race fixtures and isn’t far from Hull city centre. Whilst the beautiful city of York, with cobbled streets and a rich history is just over an hour’s drive away and makes for a great day trip.
